We will visit the historic town of Sighnaghi — known as the “City of Love” beautiful Georgian and Italian Renaissance architecture, famous for wines and traditional Georgian carpets. Also, an excellent Sighnaghi fortress-fence (8th century) is the first largest in Europe (after the Chinese wall), overlooking Alazani valley. King Erekle II built the defensive walls and 28 towers in the 18th century. Little has changed here for the last 200 years. The town has preserved its original image and now offers visitors stunning views of the surrounding Caucasus Mountain. 4600 meters long
In Sighnaghi you can see Niko Pirosmani's paintings. Then we will go to The Bodbe Monastery (4th century) holds the tomb of St. Nino, the Cappadocian maiden who converted the Georgian people to Christianity as early as 337.
On the way to Sighnaghi, we will stop for a Georgian bread-baking masterclass with locals. It is one of the most difficult stunts, which needs special effort and skills. After the masterclass, you will have an opportunity to try different types of local cheese made by locals.
